Some brain tissue was found by a team excavating at York University. The “brain-shaped”, “yellow substance” is believed to be dated back around 300 B.C., roughtly the end of the ‘Iron Age’.
I’m rather fond of the linked article as opposed to what I found at CNN Europe because, well, there’s more there. The CNN article took up about a page while this is more like two. This isn’t news about the news, but it’s still valid. CNN tries it’s best to distill the news down into bite-sized chunks without much adherence to the journalistic pyramid form. Plus, that graphic is rad.
